Mat Work Pilates
Mat work is essentially the foundation of the entire Pilates system of exercise. Mat work exercises are the key building blocks for creating strength, flexibility, and posture.
Mat work sessions provide a full body workout using your body weight and gravity to develop important stabilizing muscles, which are crucial for efficient movement and preventing injury. As you progress, sessions can become much more challenging. Many more poses can be introduced with increased repetitions and longer holds.
You will learn to develop full control and create awareness of your entire body. Pilates is an extremely diverse discipline and sessions can be tailored to each stage of an individuals rehabilitation program.
